I got another phone call from KGW channel 8 wanting to do a local spyware story. I first talked to reporter Randy Neves about a month ago. Their original plan was to give a computer to someone and see how long it took to become polluted while online with broadband. Due to budget constraints, this isn’t going to happen.
However, they’re still looking for someone in a home or very small business to demonstrate how screwed up their computer has become due to spyware.
So, if you know anyone with a screwed up computer that might be willing to admit it on the news, and have a crew film it being cleaned up, get in touch with me as soon as you can…

Tuesday morning is when they’re filming the story. Since no volunteers came forward I’m going to have a brand new PC to infect for the camera.. .
One other consulting firm TTJ Computer Services in Salem offerred to do the same thing, but frankly, I’m a camera hog for publicity, so I figured I’d do it myself…
