I post at SearchCommander.com now, and this post was published 19 years 4 months 4 days ago. This industry changes FAST, so blindly following the advice here *may not* be a good idea! If you're at all unsure, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and ask.

We’ve been hosting websites since 1999 in the PDX airport area, but our growth has exceeded the capacity of our facility. Recently, over the past three months, during peak periods we have experienced such slow responses that some sites or email would appear to be down. This hasn’t been a frequent or chronic problem, but still unacceptable.

The good news is that those problems will be fixed 100% Saturday October 28th.
From 11pm to midnight Pacific Standard Time we will be moving all 17 servers to their new location in the Pittock building on 10th and Washington.

The Pittock building is Portland Oregons premier data center, and we’ll be sharing our web hosting space with the top Internet companies in Portland.

There is no chance of ever outgrowing their bandwidth capacity, so we’ve found our permanent home in Portland for our web hosting services.

We have already assembled all the racks, and verified our internet connections completely. There is nothing to do but take the computers down there and plug them in.

No action is required from you besides your patience for an hour on Saturday night during the move, where all websites and email will be non responsive during that hour.

Thank you for your continued loyal support. Without it, this move would not have been possible. Again, I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but the improvement should be noticeable and permanent.
