The google reinclusion request location keeps changing, doesn’t it? Well it’s changed again…slightly.
I wrote in June about the “new” reinclusion request location in Google sitmaps, after realizing that Matt Cutt’s instructions were outdated.
Today, I needed to do another request, so I scrolled to the bottom of my domain list in my Sitemap account, and it was GONE. Aaaggh. They had just put it there six weeks ago!
Being in a big hurry like usual, I went back to the web, and searched and searched Google, and even Yahoo to no avail. Every reference to the Google reinclusion request was even older than my own, pointing to Matt Cutts’ blog, or another oputdated method.
So, I logged back into Google Sitemaps and carefully poked around every inch of screen until I saw it…now located in the top right – you have to EXPAND the plus sign next to “tools” and it’s listed third.
So, since it took me 20 minutes to find, I thought another 2 minutes for a blog post was in order. I hope this helps someone save 20 minutes…
