Have you ever seen anyone tie up all three available search slots at the top of Google in the local (Google Maps) results? I hadn’t either…
If you search for Portland internet consulting firm on Google, you’ll see my friend Charlie Stanley of Fierce Thought ranking #1, #2 and #3 completely dominating all three Google local maps results.
Those three results are for a subdomain, while his regular website ranks #4 and #5 in the regular results. That means that Charlie’s business has 5 out of the 13 possible links on Google’s page one….
How does a business do this and take up the entire area of prime real estate that Google has available? Well, apparently, if you have more than one address, you just enter them in your Google account… That’s how it happened for Charlie!
Okay, this may be just a temporary glitch, but is your business even listed at Google Maps? If not, you’d better go do it before your competition does…
