I post at SearchCommander.com now, and this post was published 11 years 7 months 2 days ago. This industry changes FAST, so blindly following the advice here *may not* be a good idea! If you're at all unsure, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and ask.
I’ll be giving a completely non-technical presentation for business owners and executives, on the important things to know about Google Analytics.
When:
Thursday, April 18th, 5:00 – 7:00pm
Where:
Red Lion Convention Center
1021 Northeast Grand Ave. Portland
Map
For Who:
Open to business owners, employees, web developers, executives, friends, relatives, and all Internet marketing novices who want to learn about Google Analytics.
How Much:
$20 bucks to register at meetup, and all East Portland Chamber of Commerce members will get a $10 rebate upon arrival at the event, making it just $10.
What will we cover?
Are you confused when you log in to your Google Analytics account? Maybe you’ve never even logged in, or perhaps you don’t even have a Google Analytics account yet? If this describes you, then this is an evening that you don’t want to miss.
What is Included?
Appetizers will be served, and a drink ticket will be provided good in the bar for soda, beer or wine, and other beverages will be available for purchase.
We’ll spend a little bit of time on the three W’s – your Web site, your web host, and your web designer. We’ll cover the fundamentals so everyone clearly understands the basics.
We will then spend some time talking about Google Analytics in general, including what it is, how it works, what you can learn, what “goals” are, and how to EASILY implement them.
It would be nice if attendees already had a Google Analytics account and already had the code implemented on their sites, and Google provides great instructions here.
Finally, we’ll spend some time IN a Google Analytics account, showing you whats worth looking at, as well as how to set up various “goals” to determine the effectiveness of your website.
If you’re already an avid Google Analytics user, then this is *not* a presentation that will help you become an expert. On the other hand, if you’re new to Analytics, and want to understand the fundamentals, then this one you don’t want to miss.
