I post at SearchCommander.com now, and this post was published 19 years 3 months 2 days ago. This industry changes FAST, so blindly following the advice here *may not* be a good idea! If you're at all unsure, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and ask.
As a computer consultant, I thought my tag line “Taking IT Personally” was pretty clever. Well it was, and apparently it’s now registered as a trademark by someone else. Although I’ve used it for nearly 4 years, they registered it now, and own it. They phoned me, and politely asked me to remove it, which I intend to comply with.
In the meantime, besides being on my website, it’s on my business cards, my van, my brochures etc. and those things may be slow to change. They’re sending me a registered letter asking me to cease and desist, and that’s fine, but I still need another line.
Since my business has gone in the direction of search engines, and I’m not more of an Internet consultant, I’m trying to come up with a short phrase that’s catchy, clever, and sends a message.
So far however, the best I can do is “Location is everything” or ” It’s all about location” and neither of those is very original or very good.

“Got Serps?” was chosen 😉
