The Oregonian is reporting today that a lawsuit is pending over the theft of 365,000 patient records. Besides being a major HIPAA problem, this is just gross negligence, and now they’ll pay for it financially.

Nearly 6 years ago I wrote an article on backing up your computer that needs updating, but the fundementals still hold very true…It’s called Backup or you’ll be Sorry!
That has nothing to do with proper care and testing of backups, for which you should use common sense.
