Complete step by step instructions to hard reset, soft reset, or warm reset your Palm Treo 650 are here on the Palm website .
After being unable to find directions on Google, I searched at the Palm site, which is quite good. This is the best forum I’ve found for specific Treo questions, Treo Central.
I’ve had this phone a month or so, and it’s okay. It’s no faster than my Samsung I730 was, but at least it’s usable. I hear they’re updated the software for that phone now. I should have followed my own advice, and never ever bought something with brand new version 1.0 software!
I am a Retail Sales Consultant with a major wireless carrier. I have sold numerous Treo 650’s to my customers.
The quick link to instructions for “hard rebooting” the Treo 650 has been great resource for my customers.
TreoCentral.com is about the most useful website for information about the Treo that I have found.
I’ve been amazed at the amount of people that visit this page. You’re right, Treocentral.com is great.
My treo 650 will not connect to the sprint network… It is 6 months old and I haven’t had any problems until now… I turn on the phone feature and It freezes for a second and then it says connecting to network and then nothing happens… I tried a software restart and then a warm, and then last a hard restart and nothing is working… can you help?
Well by now, I hope you’ve contacted Sprint and gotten a replacement.
If the hard restart (with complete data loss) hasn’t fixed it, then nothing else likely will.
I have a lot more bugginess with this phone than I’d like, but after a reboot I can usually get things working again…
Hi I just bought a new palm 650 which looks great in black but after a few seconds drops into sleep mode and I cant seem to turn it back on without taking the battery out. My old 650 has never had this problem, any ideas please !!
It has to be a setting in the system, but I’ve not got one anymore (it was 7 years ago) to poke around and find where those are, I’m sorry. Perhaps call your carrier’s support?
