I post at SearchCommander.com now, and this post was published 16 years 3 months 7 days ago. This industry changes FAST, so blindly following the advice here *may not* be a good idea! If you're at all unsure, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and ask.
I will be speaking on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 at the Software Association of Oregon’s monthly meeting, in a presentation entitled –
Content Management Systems Myths Busted – The Good, Bad and the Ugly”
The general topics covered by the speakers will be these, although you can bet that my own portion will focus exclusively on WordPress, and why it is NOT one of the many crappy content management systems out there today…
- CMS Landscape – What is out there?
- Should your next site be based on a CMS System?
- How can you make a website out of a blogging platform?
- What is the best free Open Source CMS?
- What are the top 3 issues for a large corporate CMS?
- Biggest CMS myths – BUSTED!
- How do I get top position in the search engines via my CMS?
- How CMS helps Web 2.0

Perhaps it is the hottest issue of today and we are confused which platform we should use. I was just reading on another blog about blogsome. They have almost 27 themes and they have javascript enabled. I think wordpress is not(i am not sure but it was written there), why, I shall like to know the reason. Anyhow I shall be looking for some video or other material on that.
Let me know if you speak on the East Coast. I would
love to hear you.
Thanks, I will – but nobody’s invited me yet… ;(
