Here’s another one for search geeks only…
Although various search engine experts debate the value of Google Page Rank, there’s no denying that it’s a matter of pride and importance to many people. I’ve been known t oobsess over it myself for certain sites. I’d be very concerned if my site dropped, because it’s basically Googles assessment of my site’s “importance”.
That’s why I was stunned to see that the latest Google update (called Update Jagger) because the Rolling Stones will be playing in Vegas for the November Webmaster World conference) now shows MSN as a…are you ready?….Google Page Rank of 3 !
If you know what Google page rank is, and how to see it (with the google toolbar) then you’ve got to laugh at this apparent slap in the face for Microsoft. If you don’t know what it is, here’s Googles own explanation
