I post at SearchCommander.com now, and this post was published 11 years 9 months 18 days ago. This industry changes FAST, so blindly following the advice here *may not* be a good idea! If you're at all unsure, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and ask.
I’m going to be speaking to about 150 local businesses, most of whom are in the travel and hospitality industry, this Friday, February 8th at the Social Media & Web Marketing Conference. The event is at the Portland Convention Center Red Lion Inn, and it’s sponsored by Oregon Live.
Also on the agenda will be representatives from Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, Anvil Media, SparkLoft and of course, OregonLive. My presentation will be about 40 minutes, and I’ll be the first one kicking things off in the morning.
When I was asked to speak I immediately agreed, but when I pulled out some local search slides, I realized that they were pretty out of date, and a lot has changed over the past year.
I’m working hard on the presentation, and I would encourage you to come, but it’s already sold out, but I CAN share the business identity sheet that I’ve been updating for the presentation.
I think this would be a great topic to use for one of the East Portland Chamber of Commerce educational after hours events that are planned, so I’ll run it by them and try to get a date soon…
