This Firefox extension is one of the single most useful tools I’ve ever found for instant information about a website. I’ve only recently abandoned IE as my default browser, s othere’s a whole new world of tools out there, but this one is amazing.
It’s called Search Status and with just a click of the mouse, I can deternine all the following for any webpage I happen to be looking at, right from inside Firefox:
- Page Rank
- Alexa Rank
- No Follow links highlighted
- All meta tags
- Whois info
- keyword density for any phrase
- highlighted keywords
- Indexed page counts in Google, Yahoo and MSN
- Backward links for the page, domain, either internal, external or both
The current version is 1.6, and I can’t imagine how I’ve gotten along without it.
This one tool can tell you the information instantly, that used to take 15 different website visits to compile. Get Search Status into your aresenal asap if you’re an SEO. It will save you a lot of time!
