AMD,coordinating with Equus Computers will send a Field Application Engineer to discuss their line of Server, Desktop and Mobile CPUs. Topics will include:
– The advantages of 64 bit CPUS. Is there any advantage with 32 bit operating systems?
– Dual core/Dual processor technology
– Heat issues.
– Turion Laptop / mobile technology and how it compares with Centrino (heat, speed, battery life, wireless stability).
– Hyperthreading or hypertransport? Are they really hyper or just hype?
– How is memory accessed and how is speed optimized?
– Virus protection in the CPU? How does that work?
– Why choose AMD (in terms of benefits to the clients, not features)?
– When is the added cost of the more expensive processor type worth it?
