I post at SearchCommander.com now, and this post was published 18 years 9 months 29 days ago. This industry changes FAST, so blindly following the advice here *may not* be a good idea! If you're at all unsure, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and ask.
If you advertise a business online, then you should really take a look at Microsoft’s Advertising Center as a way to get a jump on your competition. Everything from Hotmail banners to email marketing is covered there, and it’s a good place to get educated about their products, and give you an idea of what the future may bring.
Now MSN’s newest product is there, called MSN Ad Center and it’s an opportunity you can’t afford to miss if you already buy Pay Per Click ads on Google or Yahoo. It’s their own Pay Per Click service that rolled out last year in France, and this year it’s only been available in the US to a select few so far.
Now if you’re clever, you may have already switched over to Reach Local after reading my December blog post about easy pay per click management. However, Microsofts contract with Yahoo to display their search ads is due to expire in June of 2006, meaning that nearly 35% of the audience for your Yahoo / Overture ad will be going away.
I’ve been testing it for about a month now, and I’ve found it to be pretty good. It’s similar to both Yahoo and Google’s interface, but it adds it’s own unique features for multiple client management that I really like.
There’s no reason for me to review the MSN Ad Center service here, becasue there is already some great information out there, like Todd Freisen’s blog (A.K.A. Oilman), but if you’re in a competitive market, you really need to be aware of it’s existence.
For now, the ads only rotate into the MSN search results between 10 and 30 percent of the time, but by June 2006, they will be at 100%.
This presents you with a huge opportunity before your competition finds out about it. You can now get your own invitation from Microsoft to join the MSN Ad Center PPC program right here.
we would like to advertise and do not know what your prices are.
